“Jaz Collection” Participates in the “Earth Hour 2018” initiatives.

The international “Earth Hour” event organized by the “Worldwide Fund for Nature” encouraging households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour, to raise awareness about the need to take action on climate change.

Accordingly, “Jaz Collection” Hotels celebrated this event through organizing a number of environmental initiatives. The day was a big success, witnessing the participation of a large number of volunteers not only from the hotel’s team members but also from the in-house guests who chose to dedicate some of their time to aid the cause.
The lights were switched off at the hotels, the lobbies were dimmed for one hour marking “Earth Hour 2018”. The ‘Glow in the dark’ cocktails were served and guests enjoyed candle-light dinners with low carbon menus in a bid to join millions around the world who switched off their electrical appliances to save energy.
The activities included animation programs for kids and adults, candle making, a clean-up campaign for the hotels surroundings; also planting some trees on this very special occasion could not have been overlooked. Each guest had the opportunity to plant his own tree in the hotel’s main garden; making the day a memorable one for both the “Jaz collection” family and participating guests.
Since “Jaz Collection” hotels believe that they have a role towards bettering and positively affecting the community, they applied the concept of “Go green” in a specialized page on their website. This initiative is one of “Jaz Collection” hotel’s strength points. Is it about environmental vision and efforts in conserving it. Guests are also positively engaged in sustainability awareness.
